Corvette was one of the first rally cars in USA. Everybody loves Corvettes because with this car you can go at parties, you can travel or you can participate at a rally race. One of the most beautiful Corvettes is the one from 1962. It is a simple car, decent for American people with beautiful lines and Chevy engines like real classic Cars.

In 1958-1962 Corvette series appeared in every TV shows and Heavy Metal video. After that Corvette was used in road racing, sports car and rally. In all this competition Corvette was on the top and made famous many rally drivers.

The second Corvette car was in 1965 but it wasn’t so great like other series. In 1968 was launched Corvette coupe and the young boys were jiggered for it. Unfortunately now Corvette is very expensive and not anyone can drive this amazing car.

People interest decreased in 1973 when the new models were heavier and uglier with big Corvette wheels and shattering Corvette exhaust. At that time many of American people didn’t want to buy a new Corvette car. A new heavy car was released in 1980. I remember the ads with yellow Corvette. That was on every TV station and in most of local newspapers.

The last Corvette car was released in 1997 C% and C6. Are these cars better than European cars? Was better Corvette at rallies? Now Corvette costs more than 60.000 and you need more money to repair it. Take care, spare parts are expensive too.

Now in 2008, German and Swiss team has two Corvette C6 for this championship. Both racing cars were successful before in American Le Mans Series. The new Corvette sponsor is GMAC and it introduced a featured new color for Corvette cars.

He declared that he made one of the best laps in Grand Prix of Hungary, but he is unhappy because he didn`t finish with a victory. Massa, Michael Schumacher descendent continued and said they deserve the victory and it was a shame for them to lose 10 points very important for the final standings. But it ussualy happens in motorsports.

Massa was on the first position on driver standings before the Budapest Grand Prix and he needed 8 points to let it go at Lewis Hamilton. He is confident about his new and competitive car for the next races but he know they have to resolve the problems. Felipe Massa pointed that they need more fiability and no mistakes.

There are 23 days left until the big event will start in the middle of Bucharest in Romania. Last year this event had a big succes. Even if the prices to enter were a little bit high, romanian people came from all country to see those tunned rally cars . It was a section for young rally drivers and some drivers from Romania demonstrate their goods.

The first will start at 10.00 and till 13.00 will be some demonstration laps for VIP. That will be seconded by Dacia Logan Cup Free Practice for 45 minutes. Like in the last year, Bucharest will play host to British FIA GT3 Championship, the second time. At 14.15 will start the practice races for British F3 International Series Free and after will go on FIA GT Championship Free Practice and again demonstration Laps.

The track length is 3180 m and the averagespeed was 148,6 km/h (FIA GT). Track length ideal line is 3106 m and lap time was : 75,3 sec. (FIA GT).

Juho Hanninen at his first race with Super 2000, won the Rally of Russia with Peugeot 207 prepared by Kronos team for guests. A very talented Russ, Evgeny Novikov 17 years old, was the runner up till he abandoned in the last assay of the rally.

Russian Rally 2008 became a big business and more serious like the last edition from the last year, when IRC (International Rally Challenge) came first time in this country. It was a special competition because the starting party was after the first rally race. Each stage consists in getting over two different assays and the total number of special was 12.

After one year he became a famous rally driver, Evgeny Novikov had to solve two problems: the first one consist in using his new rally car Subaru N14 and the second one if he should change his navigator or not. His team made some tests in Estonia and they decided to use the model N12, and his co-driver is now the Australian Dale Muscat. Dale Moscatt was the co-driver for Cody Crocker and Xu Lang.

Russian Rally is known for its hardness. The headquarter was at Vyborg and the special allays were full of sand and extremely rapidly. Even there was the first time when he drove Super 2000, Juho Hanninen became a lider. The runner up was Anton Allen, 2007 winner. Juho Hanninen was surprised to win and he declared he had a lot to learn about his car and about the rally. He hope will have the chance to race again in that rally championship.

IRC Rally Championship will continue after tree weeks with Madeira Rally. Because he was absent in Russia, Luca Rossetti has the same score like Nicolas Vouilloz with 26 points, and the runner up is Freddy Loix with 16 points. Madeira Rally was the last rally when Fiat beat Peogeot in IRC.
